I took this photo at a local metro park a couple months ago while on a walk with my girlfriend and feels perfectly eerie enough for October as we come closer to Halloween.

One of the many great things about Toledo, Ohio are the many metro parks throughout the city. One of mine and my girlfriends favorites is wildwood, where this photo was taken.
The park is on the site of a former estate built during the great depression and has miles and miles of walking trails surrounded by nature. My girlfriend spend a decent amount of time just walking around the grounds and hiking on the trails. We love looking at the different birds in the park and seeing what we can see. including one time we saw a pair of blue birds that we have not been able to definitively identify to this day no matter how hard we try and no matter how many birds we look up.
We weren't able to get any photos of the birds that time so now every time we go I make sure to bring my camera in hopes of seeing them once again and this time being able to photograph them. We haven't seen these birds again but it is still a great area to take all kinds of different photos. I took some photos of different flowers and trees and just general photos of the trail on our way out and this shed didn't really catch my eye when it was lighter out. On our way back to our car it started to get a little bit darker as we were heading into twilight.
We came around the corner on the trail and I noticed the light at the top of the shed was on. It was giving just enough light to barely illuminate the white shed in front of the dark background. I was drawn in by the slightly creepy and dark feeling it was giving off and knew I needed to try and capture it. When I started editing it I felt like I needed to get rid of the green in the trees background to help add to the eerie feeling I felt like the photo deserved and I'm really happy with how the photo turned out and love that it shows the Metro Parks spooky side.
